Principles for success in life

This piece (a joint collaboration in point form for ease of reading) is written from the many deep and fascination discussions Andy and I have had about our life purposes and what success means to each of us. Enjoy...

The first step on the stair-case to success is DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE. Develop a  definite plan for its achievement, a chief aim in life - a mission. Must be backed by ACTIVE FAITH ("faith without works is dead"). Doing this produces positive results. Persistent continuous action towards its attainment.

Think of the person you intend to become and develop a clear mental picture. Use autosuggestion or repeated affirmations.
Enlist the co-operation of others: Develop a "mastermind alliance" with people who have a common aim...and with those whose skills you do not possess.
Recognize the existence of God, Infinite Intelligence, who gives order to the universe.

  • APPLIED FAITH
  • DEVELOP A PLEASING PERSONALITY (must be the only thing that gets me out my frequent holes in the "deep smelly brown stuff")
  • DEVELOP THE HABIT OF LEARNING FROM DEFEAT: "Every adversity carries the seed of an equivalent benefit." - Napoleon Hill
  • Keep the mind open at all times for guidance from within.

Other keys are:

  • Creative Vision
  • Personal Inactive
  • Accurate Thinking
  • Self Discipline  Your watchword must be PERSISTENCE
  • Concentration of Endeavor
  • Enlist the Co-Operation of others - you can't do it alone!
  • Enthusiasm Good health - it's a habit of developing a "health consciousness"
  • Budgeting time and money
  • Applied wisdom The Golden Rule" applied: "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." this is the basic principle in ALL religions of the world. Develop the habit of going the extra mile for others - service

N.B: Your state of mind is everything, so take possession of your mind.

N.B: Your life journey should be built upon the principles of truth and justice.

No matter your chosen field of endeavor, HAPPY TRAVELLING down the road to success
