Do you have boxes upon boxes of disorganized photos? Chances are, nobody is enjoying them if they're all boxed up and stored away. Here are 10 things you can do with your photo stash.
1. Get yourself a few photo boxes that hold at least 1500 photos each. Make a few general dividers, like family and friends, vacations, holidays, etc. and begin organizing your photos in the appropriate categories.
2. As you're going through your photo stash, immediately toss any photos you don't like, are damaged beyond repair, are not very interesting or are just plain bad.
3. Gather any duplicate photos. Give them to your kids for art projects, or send them to friends and relatives who are also in the photos.
4. Choose your very best photos and scrapbook them.
5. Hire an organizer to help you sort through and organize your photos.
6. Organize your favorite photos into albums. Have a different album for your family and friends, vacations, trips, etc. This way, your photos will be in some sort of order.
7. For future photos, invest in a digital camera. Keep the photos you take on CDs so your clutter doesn't build up again.
8. Take digital photos of your hard copy photos (or scan them) and keep your stash on CDs. Toss all of your hard copy photos except for the few you really treasure.
