Great Spin Songs

By Christina | June 1, 2009

Usually I fill my blogs with song playlists that I recommend for great classes but tonight I am doing it a bit differently.  Here are some songs along with why they are excellent to incorporate into your next Spin/ cycle class:

Bicycle Race by Queen - The name and the tempo will get you going. Has some really intense at points which makes for good cycling

Handlebars by Flobots - This song has a bit of a slow pace making it great for climbing hills on your bike

I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness - There are fast, challenging, motivating sections here great for sprints

Switch by Will Smith - Although I’m not a fan of his, the beat of this song is great for jumps from second to third position on your bike.

Proud Mary by Tina Turner - Nice tempo changes here. Starts slow then really cranks at the end

The Devil Went Down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band - I love teaching to this one. If you get the timing down right you will knock em out! I will caution you though, the fast part at the end of the song is so long and upbeat that your head might explode.

Trouble by Pink- Got some edge and attitude and perfect for a sprint.

Eye of the Tiger by Survivor - Fantastic when the mood is starting to tire and you want one more push

D’yer Maker by Led Zeppelin - This is a slower spin song that is ideal for climbing a big hill on your bike.
