Alli Side Effects - You Won’t Believe Some of These!
By Christina | May 12, 2009
In the quest for anything that helps me to lose weight, stay in shape or tome up I was intrigued when the FDA said it was endorsing, or maybe they said approving a weight loss supplement. The FDA is notorious for not endorsing non-prescription weight loss pills.
What I found most intriguing were the side effects you might “commonly” encounter from using Alli:
Abdominal pain (stomach pain) — in up to 20.1 percent of people
Fecal urgency (an urgent but controlled need to have a bowel movement) — up to 18.8 percent
Gas — up to 18.6 percent
Oily spotting (uncontrolled anal oil seepage) — up to 17.7 percent
Gas with a small amount of oil or stool — up to 17.2 percent
Fatty or oily stool — up to 17.2 percent
Diarrhea — up to 11.9 percent
Oily evacuation (bowel movements of just oil, without stool) — up to 11.6 percent
Sinus infection — up to 10.6 percent
Soft stool — up to 10.1 percent.
Is it me or is this insane? Why would anyone subject themselves to such discomfort coupled with the possibility of “fecal oily seepage”? I guess if you are desperate enough to lose weight you will try anything!
