The Perfect Push Up and now the Perfect Pull Up

I don’t really understand the need for the devices that help us to perform push ups and pull ups. I just don’t think holding a handle that rotates to accommodate my shoulder or rotator cuff makes a difference overall. I do believe that changing the angles of exercises changes the way the muscle is worked so it is a good idea but you can achieve that by widening the hand placement for example.
The Perfect Pull Up seems different because instead of a bar it is a set of handles which surely will change the dynamic of the exercise and the muscles being incorporated. I still think you can get a great workout without the accessories to assist with basically the same movement but if you enjoy the gadgets, go for it.
