Fitness Advice from 2400 Years Ago

If you want to not only live longer but enjoy the life you have, keep moving. That’s the advice Hippocrates gave circa 500BC. Amazing that all our studies today confirm what we have known all along and yet refuse to believe because it’s easier to buy a pill, or a magic device. “That which is used develops; that which is not wastes away.” I guess you can also say “use it or lose it” but that doesn’t sound quite as eloquent.
These insightful words apply to all things really. Your muscles and your mind atrophy without regular use, all your good intentions without actions are like dust in the wind.. insignificant. Today, use your body and enjoy your life!
