Weekly Meditation - Attitude

By Christina | August 13, 2008

“Whenever you’re in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.” by William James

Relationships are so easy to damage aren’t they?  Friends, family, lovers, all of our interpersonal relationships can be destroyed by the use of our words and attitudes.  When I read this quote, it made me stop to think for a moment about how I interact when I am angry or in a discussion and it’s true, my attitude makes all the difference.

A good friend of mine always says, you can say anything with a smile, and it’s true.  If you need to let someone know how you feel, think about how you are going to deliver the message before you blurt it out. Think about your body language, your tone and the actual words.  Think about your attitude and then react.
