You can do yoga anywhere!

By Christina | August 7, 2008

Recently a program called YogaTV did a piece that featured thousands of Yogis practicing in the middle of Times Square in New York City. It was an amazing and interesting site.  What was interesting to watch was the focus that the yogis were able to maintain in the midst of the noise and the people of NYC.  What better motivation to do yoga for a city filled with hectic energy than to watch people stay peaceful in the midst of choas.

People in NYC were actually stopping and staring as if to say, “Why are all those people doing that strange stretching form?” It’s a funny thing with yoga, you never know what was the catalyst that made you start but once you did, you were hooked. Doing yoga in random places is a great way to get people to start doing yoga.

So please, practice yoga in random places and not so random places. You could help increase the number of Yogis in the world. Wouldn’t that be nice?
