Some days the workout really works!

Yesterday afternoon I trained the group at Cable Organizer as I usually do on Tuesdays and Thursdays and as usual, Tuesday is cardio day. The difference this week was I had been away on vacation and a sub had taken over my group and really pushed them the week before. There is something in a trainer’s psyche that does not want to hear that another trainer pushed harder. I was out for redemption.
We set out on a 12 minute warm up run and along the way I saw a soccer field with an impressive set of bleachers. We arrived at the bleachers and went from the run to running stairs - 10 times up and down without stopping. As we exited the steps we ran once around the field and back onto the stadium style benches. We lined up and power jumped onto the benches with both feet twenty times. With heart rates pounding we dropped for dips and then back up for single leg squats.
Unfortunately, we were spotted and asked, well told, to leave the field. We ran out and back to home base. Upon arrival and rehydration we did a quick fast walk around the warehouses and then backwards jogging followed by more fast walking and lunges up and down ramps. Did I mention the sweltering heat and humidity?
Some abdominal exercises and it was back up for ice skaters and paratroopers followed by some cool down stretches. This was one workout I can honestly say got our heart rates up and did some serious good.

I love it! I know EXACTLY what you mean! I run a 5 day bootcamp and when I get back from having a sub and the class gripes about how soar they made them…I am definatly on the path to see what I can dish out the next class! ha ha!!!
