Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

A study done at Purdue University may have some controversial findings. It seems drinking diet soda may be adding pounds to your body, not helping you shed them.  Confused? Not for long.

I am so excited!  I teach exercise as part of what I do for a living but it is also my passion and my idea of having “me” time. It’s one thing to perform for a group or to train people and I love that I do workout with them but it’s another thing to take [...]

Friday, February 8th, 2008

In case you did not read my previous post on this topic, it seems an official in Mississippi thought it might be a good idea to weigh diners as they entered eateries to be sure they were not above the 30 BMI which is the obesity standard. They proposed to have scales at the stores to [...]

Mississippi Restaurants to Stop Serving Food to the Obese

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

That’s right, if you live in Mississippi and you have a body mass index of more than 30 you may not be allowed to eat in restaurants.  Does this sound crazy to anyone else?  I cannot imagine how a state/ government can plan to implement this type of policy.  Will they have someone standing at [...]
