Healthy Recipe Dessert… Really

I love dessert! No, no, I don’t think you understand, I LOVE DESSERT! I eat at least 2 desserts a day. That’s crazy if you think about staying in shape and being healthy but it’s my pleasure so I look for ways to make it healthier. Add fruit to my cheesecake or eat jello as dessert? No way! Dessert means ice cream, cookies or cake so here is a healthy cake recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup cake flour
- 12 room temperature egg whites
- 1/3 cup warm water
- 1 tsp orange extract
- 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place sugar in food processor on high for about 2 minutes to make fine. Combine half the sugar, salt and cake flour. In another bowl combine egg whites, cream of tartar, water and orange extract and mix with a whisk. After 2 minutes with the whisk, switch to a hand blender. Once the mixture starts tot stifen, slowly add the sugar you set aside and then the flour, sugar mixture. Once all is mixed in, fold it into an ungreased pan and bake for 35 minutes.
