Affirmations for Everyone
By Christina | October 11, 2007
An affirmation is a short positive statement said with passion, conviction and belief.. Sounds easy enough but have you really thought about what that means? A short positive statement, that’s easy enough. Put together a few words that move or mean something to you and phrase them so that they have an emphasis on the positive and you have an affirmation right? Not necessarily because the more difficult part of the equation is the second half of the definition… said with passion, conviction and belief. So if you affirm, “I am worthy of love” or “I create an abundance of wealth” and yet have a different track playing in your head like “I am unworthy of love” or “I will never have anything” than the affirmation is not going to have the same impact. You need to change your mental reel so that the “movie” you are playing in your head is one of belief in yourself as well as your ability to create positive outcomes.
Here are some affirmations for you today:
- I release all fear, guilt, shame and grief so that I can be filled with light, love and happiness
- I create abundance with all my efforts
- I allow all my emotions to flow freely
- I am confident in my ability to do anything
- I am worthy of being loved
- I speak my mind openly and without malice
- I listen to my intuition and trust in it
- I am present in each moment
Choose one or write them all down and make them part of your day today. Let me know how you feel after one day of repeating these every chance you get.
