Insights from the Mind Body Conference
By Christina | September 7, 2007
I have spent the past two days in Palm Springs, California at the second annual InnerIDEA Mind and Body Conference attending lectures and workshops as well as giving workshops on Colorgized Yoga. When you attend someone else’s classes you learn so much. You learn new ways to cue, to teach, to guide and most interestingly you learn new philosophies. The following are some of the things I heard today that I thought you might enjoy…
- Yoga is a celebration of life; it is joyful, it is emotional, it is intense, it is playful, sensual.. so much.. enjoy your poses, enjoy your breath, enjoy being present. At the end is Savasana, or corpse - then you can be serious!
- Buddha said - If you cease expecting, you have everything.
- To get what you’ve never had you have to do what you’ve never done.
- We shouldn’t stop playing because we grow old for we grow old if we stop playing.
Each of these is moving and thought provoking. Take one at a time and contemplate what each means to you.
