August 2007 Lunar Eclipse - Did You See It?

By Christina | August 29, 2007

Lunar EclipseDid you see it?  The Earth’s shadow eclipsed the moon Tuesday morning.  This is a photo a friend of mine took.  Being the early riser that I am I was already driving when the eclipse started.  I watched it as I drove on I-75 until there was no moon and then…as it started to appear again with the most beautiful orange-red color (seen in the photo) I continued to watch.  It is amazing when you stop to think about how truly small we are in the Universe.  It is during some of these natural events - like an eclipse or a hurricane or just watching nature - that I appreciate how we exist in this perfect balance that we can enjoy for eons or destroy with what we call progress and technology.  We can continue to expand our life span to really over-populate the planet or use products that devastate the ozone layer or we can be careful and conscientious of what is happening… animals become extinct because we occupy their space, climates are changing because we pollute the atmosphere, people are dying from toxic contamination…

Sit back for a moment and think about our world, our planet, our responsibility… think about the statement -

“I Am One With All Creation”
